Honeywell UDA2182 Dual Loop Analyzer Controller

The UDA2182 Universal Dual Analyzer represents the latest in analyzer technology by providing the most versatile multiple-input analyzer package on the market for measurement of pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen and chemical concentration. The mix-and match input card design, local language, menu-driven configuration, at-a-glance display, Ethernet communications and wireless IR interface make this one of the easiest analyzers to operate and maintain.
Built on a long legacy of Honeywell expertise in electronics design, performance and reliability, this new platform delivers more power, flexibility and performance that its predecessors. These enhancements and ease of use enable Honeywell to deliver more value to our customers.
  • Single or Dual input measurement– Input cards are available in pH (Glass and Durafet), ORP, Contacting Conductivity, Dissolved Oxygen (ppm and ppb). They can be mixed in any combination of up to two inputs or a single input. Input cards plug & play and pre-calibrated at the factory to ensure accuracy of measurement.
  • Display/Operator interface – the UDA2182 uses a graphic backlit LCD display that provides clear, bright and wide angle viewing even in direct sunlight. Multiple displays screens are provided and are dependent upon the configuration selected. All key indicators are available in one view saving time paging through menus. Graphic high resolution backlit display enables “Process Status at a Glance” for fast process status check.
  • Control – the UDA2182 comes standard with on/off control and has an optional PID control that provides two channels of full PID control with Honeywell Accutune algorithms.
  • Isolation – Inputs and outputs are isolated eliminating common maintenance problems associated with ground loop and noise.
  • Communications - provides both RS485 and Ethernet communication. Web pages provide users with real-time data from remote locations.

APT2000 Analytical Process 2-Wire Transmitters

Honeywell APT2000 Analytical Process Transmitter

The Honeywell analytical process transmitter APT2000 is a two-wire, 24-volt device that continuously measures pH, ORP, or conductivity in industrial processes (Model Dependable).
The APT2000 continuously monitors sensor and analyzer electronics and immediately displays diagnostic information at the onset of a problem. If an error or diagnostic is found, the analyzer will indicate the appropriate error code or pictograph, blink a red LED and adjust the error current to 22 mA if desired. A manual loop-back check is available to test the integrity of the 4-20 mA output.
Optional HART protocol available for bi-directional remote monitoring/control of the process.
The APT2000 transmitters are designed to meet the measurement needs of a number of industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, pulp and paper, water and power.

Honeywell APT4000 4-Wire Analyzer/Transmitter

The Honeywell analytical process transmitter (APT)4000 series transmitter is a four-wire device that continuously measures pH, ORP, or conductivity in industrial processes, including chemical concentration and salinity. The APT4000 continuously monitors sensor and transmitter electronics and displays diagnostic information. The analyzer has a universal (20-253 V AC/DC, 45-65 Hz) power supply with one 4-20 mA output, two high/low alarm relays, a diagnostic relay, and a wash relay. Software (USP24) can be used on-line for monitoring the conductivity of purified water or water-for-injection in the pharmaceutical industry.

Honeywell DirectLine Sensor Modules/Transmitters for

DirectLine® measurement modules is a family of electronic modules released by Honeywell as part of a new generation of analytical measurement (DL421 for pH, DL422 for ORP, DL423 for conductivity, DL424 for dissolved oxygen ppm and DL425 for dissolved oxygen ppb). The DirectLine module’s unique architecture combines the latest in microelectronics technology with the proven performance of Honeywell analytical sensors, to provide unequalled savings during installation, start-up, operation, and maintenance. The DirectLine® electronics module can mount integrally on the conductivity cell and provide a 4-20 mA dc output proportional to conductivity. The output of the DirectLine® sensor connects directly to any host monitor or control device that accepts standard 4-20 mA inputs and provides external loop power .

7777/7777D Meredian and Durafet® II pH/ORP In-line/Immersion Mountings

 

 
    
Honeywell’s 7777 series of electrode mountings enables users to interface Durafet® II pH electrodes with a process via a ¾” threaded connection and Meredian II by either submersing the electrode or mounting it into a ¾” threaded connection. Durafet II pH electrodes are the first industrial ISFET (Ion Sensitive Field Effect Transistor)-based pH sensors. They join Honeywell’s industry-proven glass pH electrodes in the 7777 series mounting to provide accurate and dependable process pH measurement. The Durafet II and Meredian II pH electrodes offer a reliable combination of measuring and reference electrodes together with an integral automatic temperature compensator PT1000 or NKT8.5K in a one-piece, corrosion-resistant, molded Ryton body. Quick disconnect plugs enable easier installation and maintenance than with any other electrode available. The compact Durafet II and Meredian II electrodes with 3/4” NPT male connections are easily adapted for in-line mounting without O-rings or special seals.
7777DVP Durafet® III pH Immersion/In-Line Mountings

Honeywell defines state-of-the-art pH measurement with the Durafet® pH electrode, a non-glass, unbreakable, Ion Sensitive Field Effect Transistor (ISFET)-based pH sensor. This industry-proven pH electrode, with over 14 years of application experience, provides fast, accurate and dependable pH measurement in the most demanding applications. The Durafet electrodes include a connector, enabling easy and reliable electrode replacement without twisting of cables.
The Durafet III pH electrodes offer a reliable combination of measuring and reference electrodes together with an integral automatic temperature compensator PT1000 or NKT8.5K in a one-piece corrosion-resistant molded Ryton body. Quick disconnect Vario Pin connectors enable easier installation and maintenance than with any other electrode available. The compact Durafet III electrodes with 3/4” NPT male connections are easily adapted for in-line mounting without O-rings or special seals.
7773/7773D Meredian and Durafet® II pH-ORP Flow Chamber and Immersion Mountings
 
7773 mounting capabilities encompass the industrial measurements of pH, ORP, specific ion and temperature in a flow or submersion configuration. Wetted material choices include 316 stainless steel, glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene or Ryton for use in corrosive solutions at pressures up to 1034 kPa (150 psig) and temperatures up to 130°C (266°F). Honeywell’s 7773 mounting is available with the widest available electrode, preamplifier, automatic temperature compensator and mounting assembly options. Capabilities now include state-of-the-art ISFET technology with Honeywell Durafet® II electrode options. These truly solid state sensors feature exceptionally fast response and a low impedance signal right from the sensing element that is virtually unbreakable. Glass membrane formulations are available for a variety of temperature ranges.
7774/7774D Meredian and Durafet® II pH/ORP Insertion and Removal Mountings
 
The 7774 insertion/removal assemblies, which accommodate Durafet® II and Meredian series combination (single-probe) pH or ORP electrodes, are designed for use in processes under pressure because the electrode can be inserted or removed without interrupting the process. Insertion can be into a pipeline, tank wall or other vessel in any position for applications such as boiler water analysis, demineralization, reverse osmosis, pharmaceutical and chemical production, waste treatment, and pulp and paper production. The electrode assembly can be safely inserted or withdrawn at process pressures up to 50 psig. Plastic and 316 stainless steel wetted materials are available for applications requiring chemical resistance or for high-temperature operation. A purge port on the plastic assembly permits automatic or manual inline cleaning or flushing.
7794DVP Sanitary Durafet III pH Mountings

 
The Sanitary Durafet® III electrode is designed to meet 3-A Sanitary Standards. Solid state ISFET technology eliminates the conventional, fragile glass pH sensor. The unbreakable pH sensor can be inserted directly into the process without the fear of product contamination. pH measurement can be online and continuous—no time-consuming grab sampling is necessary. This pH electrode design, with over 12 years of industry-proven application experience, provides fast, accurate and dependable pH measurement in the most demanding food and dairy applications.
The Sanitary Durafet III pH electrode has an integral, tri-clamp flange for easy mounting in the process. The Sanitary Durafet III is available in 1 ½”, 2” and 3” flange sizes. Cable options are available for remote mounting to the innovative Honeywell DirectLine® Sensor Module.
TL1000 Durafet® II Twist Lock Mounting II Twist Lock Mounting
The TL1000 Series, Twist Lock Mounting, provides an easy way to install/remove Durafet III pH electrodes from pipelines and tees. A quick ¼ turn is all that is required for installation/removal. This quick ¼ turn does not twist cables as you attempt to install or remove an electrode from the process during calibration, maintenance and replacement. The threaded mounting bushing is available in two sizes (3/4” or 1” male NPT) and two materials of construction (316 SS and Kynar) for use in a wide variety of applications and instrumentation, including the UDA2182, APT Series and DirectLine® Sensor Modules.
 

Conductivity Cells & Mounting
Type Description
Contacting Conductivity Cells - 4973/4974 Flow Through Mounting

           

 
The Model 4973 Series cells are superior for all-purpose applications. Constructed of PES for high corrosion resistance, 4973 series cells are supplied with either titanium (0.01 and 0.1 cell constants) or graphite (1 and 10 cell constants) electrodes, and will provide continuous, reliable measurements at temperatures up to 140°C and pressures up to 250 psig. For flow applications, the cell can be installed directly into a process stream or used with a separate flow chamber in a bypass stream.
The Model 4974 Series Sanitary cells use a 4973 cell and an installed 1 ½” or 2” tri-clamp flange. These cells can be mounted in sanitary piping installations using industry standard tri-clamp flange mountings.
Contacting Conductivity Cells – Model 4905 Immersion/Flow Thru Mounting
      
The 4905 series cells are superior for all-purpose applications. Constructed of PES for high corrosion resistance, 4905 series cells can be supplied with nickel, Monel or platinum electrodes, and will provide continuous, reliable measurements at temperatures up to 140°C and pressures up to 250 psig for in-line applications and temperatures up to 85°C and pressures up to 250 psig for immersion applications. For insertion applications, the 1” NPT male thread permits installation in a pipe or tank. For flow applications, the cell can be installed directly into a process stream or used with a separate flow chamber in a bypass stream. In immersion applications, ½” rigid or flexible plastic pipe can be threaded into the top of the cell— up to 19’ (5.8 meters) for the 20’ cable and 49' for the 50' cable.
An extensive range of cell constants from 0.01 to 50 allows you to select the conductivity cell best suited for your application, providing a wide range of capabilities and ensuring accurate conductivity measurements.
Contacting Conductivity Cells - 4909 Ball Valve/Insertion Mounting
 
The 4909 Series cells include a ball valve in which the cell is mounted. This allows for the cell to be removed form the process without having to shut down the process and drain the pipe or tank. The ball valve assembly can be made of stainless steel or CPVC. The 4908 Series is the replacement cell only that is used with the ball valve assembly. Cells can be supplied with either nickel, Monel or platinum electrodes, and will provide continuous, reliable measurements at temperatures up to 140 degrees C and pressures up to 150 psig. Pressures must be reduced to 50 psi before attempting to install or remove a cell from the ball valve.
Conductivity Cells – Model 5000TC Toroidal
The Model 5000TC inductive magnetic field cell operates on a different principle than the traditional contacting electrode cell. This type of cell is also known as an electrodeless cell or toroidal cell. The instrument sends an alternating current of known value through one of the coils, the primary coil. This current creates a magnetic field and induces a current in the process liquid. This current, in turn, induces a current in the pickup coil. The induced current in the pickup coil is directly proportional to the conductivity of the liquid. No direct contact is necessary between the coils and the solution, thus eliminating potential maintenance problems.
The sensors can be used for monitoring chemical concentration and salinity. The corrosion and fouling-resistant cells are available with a variety of mounting assemblies to ensure compatibility for applications in the chemical, food and dairy, refinery, pulp and paper, metal finishing and wastewater industries.

 

Dissolved Oxygen Probes

DL5000 Dissolved Oxygen Equilibrium Probe

           

 
Honeywell’s DL 5000 Dissolved Oxygen probe is based on a unique and patented equilibrium probe technology that is accurate, reliable and maintenance-free.
This patented equilibrium probe technology is based on the partial pressure of oxygen rather than the diffusion rate of oxygen through the probe membrane. The materials of construction combined with this unique design result in a no-internal maintenance probe that is independent of process flow and fouling.
The DL5000 is housed in either a stainless steel or PVC casing to suit your specific application needs. The stainless steel probe offers the opportunity to choose the quick disconnect feature for in-line applications. This feature provides the flexibility to change only the probe after the initial installation. This eliminates the need to unwire and wire a new cell to the analyzer as the original cable can be reused.
DL5000 represents field proven technology in the measurement of Dissolved Oxygen in power utility, industrial and municipal waste water treatment.
